| | Each WC coffee is roasted to our strict specifications to maximize the coffees' unique characteristics for flavor and aroma. We describe our roasts by color and texture: American Roast: (medium brown, surface of bean is dry) this roast occurs during the first crackle. | Viennese Roast: (dark brown, ends of beans will be shiny) this style of roast occurs as soon as the second crackle begins. | Espresso Roast: (very dark brown, entire bean is shiny) when the first sight of smoke appears from the top of the roaster, you are at an Espresso roast. | French Roast: (beans are almost black, with an oily surface) produces smoke and a very rapid crackle. | Most of our coffees are roasted Viennese to Espresso which we find to bring out maximum flavor and smoothness. Blends often contain beans roasted American to Espresso. Once you have tried our coffees you may request specific roasting to your taste. |
